Game of Pipes

Grade Levels: K-5

Duration: 30 – 45 minutes

Activity:

Students wander through a maze of pipes. Each game includes a water-use practice that either wastes or conserves water, adding or subtracting their water pieces. The winner is either the first student to reach the Beaver Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant or the one with the most water droplets remaining at the end of the time allotted for play.

Objective:

Identify human activities that waste and conserve water.

Materials:

  • Game board
  • Game pieces
  • One die per group
